Boating
9 km long Silver Lake is large enough to accommodate all types of boats - motorboats, sailboats, paddleboats and canoes. Three boat ramps area available. A meandering creek running through the Provincial Park makes for a pleasant canoe trip during the spring and early summer when the water level is higher or paddle on Silver Lake itself. A canoe, paddleboat and kayak area all available for use. Canoe, motorboat, rowboat, and kayak rentals are available at the park as well..

Swimming
There is easy access to the water from the cottage. The lake floor in front of the cottage is solid and easy to traverse. The water depth is very shallow for 30 meters and then drops off which is perfect for children. At the provincial park, there is a wide crescent of sandy beach is Silver Lake's main attraction. A smaller sandy beach is near the picnic shelter.


Fishing
Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass, Lake Trout, Yellow Perch, and sunfish provide ideal fishing for all ages and abilities.

Wildlife
A wide variety of animals, including skunks, woodchucks, raccoons, rabbits and chipmunks live here. Harmless snakes, painted turtles, toads, bullfrogs and leopard frogs inhabit the wetland. Overhead, see and hear the eastern kingbird and red-winged blackbird.
