Supah & Quick Valves

[Supah Valves] according to their designer & creator Ed Goldmann are "Similar to a solenoid." However Spudtech, has since been sold, and is now owned & operated by Joel Suprise. No offense to Joel, nor Ed, but I refuse to pay $95 dollars plus shipping for something I can build myself. If I did pay the 95 bucks, the first thing I would do before even firing it is take it apart and figure out how it worked. (When I first got into spudding and learned of Ed's Supah Valves, I thought that 95 dollars was an outrageous sum of money to spend on a valve. However, since then I've built a piston valve & have come to realize the amount of time & the cost of parts invested would be worth the 95 bucks) As far as I can tell, I have developed a valve of my own, that I believe works equally well & gives you similar performance.

My [Quick Valve] is a modification of a piston valve design. It utilizes a piston, however when it slides back it opens a vent for the compressed air to exit to the barrel. The advantages of a quick valve over a normal piston design are that the air doesn't have to make a u-turn after flowing to the end of the barrel.

An obvious disadvantage is the valves inherent complexity.
