Baylin (means a "forest of tombstones/stone carvings" in Chinese)
is a central site where stone carvings of the Tang, Ming and Qing
dynasty are stored. It has stone carved literatures and paintings as well. The stone carvings
are so detailed that every stroke of the brush were carved onto the stone as though it
was written in ink by the calligraphers themselves. These stone carvings not only are they
a form of art, they are also a study medium for students to learn calligraphies in the past
and present. The students would use the prints to practice calligraphies. I strongly
recommand those who admires calligraphies and chinese ink paintings to visit there.

The first time I've seen these stone warriors were on TV. It was already very fascinating to see so
many of them at the same time. When I saw them with my own eyes it was very breathtaking! Each of
these stone warriors are uniquely carved. None of them looks exactly the same. It is simply amazing!
