I suppose I should start out by giving a few details about myself, not many...but a few.
I'm a 25 year old female, I live in the States, I consider myself an adverage person. Raised in a two parent home, attending the adverage schools many would find me to be the "girl next door". I have never had everything I want nor was I deprived for, this reason I don't think I'm spoiled but I'm also not a casualty. While in a town where I knew almost no one I took to the chat world and started exploring this fascinating and enchanting world of computerized universe then I found the Gor rooms and for nearly two years I have explored Gorean slavery via yahoo.

Gor can be classed roughly into three defs: 1) Gor is a series of 26 novels written by the author John Norman. In these novels the planet know as Gor is a counter earth just on the other side of the sun, on Gor women are either free women (FW) or slaves. Free women must stay concealed in robes and veils and hide their sexuality from men whereas slaves are property of men and must never hide anything. Any free woman can find herself enslaved at anytime and lives with this threat everyday. Men on Gor are honorable, strong, real men, they embrace their maleness and live as nature intends. On Gor things are very anti-technology, there are no cars, computers, ect. people cook over fires, haul water, and live very primitive. Since the series is a sci-fi setup there are also large flying birds known as tarns, doglike creatures (sleen),wild giant cats (larls) and seamonsters ect.

2) Gor is roleplay, many people roleplay Gor both on and offline. In the roleplay community things like castes i.e warrior castes, green caste, ect. are accented as well as forced collars and "kills" sword play and other fantasy scenes are embraced and often the focus of peoples attention. In chatrooms where one is only limited by their imagination one will see slave girls branded, and raped and strapped to the "rack" (the rack is a place where a girl is tied usuaslly as a punishment, while here she can be raped, whipped, tortured, ect) Also while in the rooms one will "see" larls, sleens, tarns, bosk, ect all imaginary and all roleplay. On a side note there are some rooms known as "homes" that are safe zones where there can be no forced collars and no kills for example. I have never roleplayed offline but have heard of others having conventions and meetups for gorean roleplay, I would imagine that there are more limits in realworld roleplay but it surely follows the same plane.

3) Lifestyle: Some people live Gor in real life as a way of life, of course there are no tarns or sleens or bosk but to the best of their ability they live it, the women live as slaves and the men are masters. Is this healthy?

In a cut and dry fashion that is Gor, but once one steps into the emotional chaos and gets caught up in the disquietude of that world it suddenly becomes all consuming.

What Is Gor?
