Dear friends,
I'm not a member of the society, something I must correct, but I was viewing your site and realized that the flag in Higginsville was one of those brought down by Gephart and company.  I hope that the society can mobilize its members to fight this outrage.

I was looking at how to join your membership.  I am thinking of doing this as I am the great-great grandaughter of John Hill, who rode with Quantrill to Lawrence, in Aug. of 1863.

Thanks

A NEW  BOOK!!!

To: Carolyn Bartels
I heard about the new book out on John Thraikill and Si Gordon entitled "Forgotten Rebels" by James and John Farley and purchased one from you at the Centralia battle re-enactment. What a great book!
Tell them to keep up the good work! Quantrill and Anderson were important, but, have been covered pretty extensively. If the lesser knowns aren't detailed their stories will be lost to all. Is the book on your website yet?
                                                              Sincerely: Fred Johnson
