First of all, I have a strong faith in Jesus Christ, and the blessings He has given me have been wonderful. I truly thank Him for the peace He imparts, despite the heartbreak and cares of this life. He has brought me through many, many problems - issues with the kids, homelessness due to a fire, the loss of my husband nearly six years ago, and most recently, the loss of my oldest son.
I have nine children remaining on this earth, and fifteen grandkids. I live in a very small town with my two youngest kids, six dogs, and a bunch of cats.
I dream of once again writing for a living - I wrote the newspaper for our little town for a couple of years, but now work as a custodian at our courthouse and sheriff's office. Just can't seem to get my thoughts together enough to actually turn them into anything that anyone else would want to read.
I like reading, crafts, crossword puzzles, and playing on the computer. I don't watch too much tv, but do enjoy Seinfeld reruns and Nascar races, with bad boy Tony Stewart being my favourite driver. I love animals, especially dogs, and have a strong sense of fantasy - unicorns, etc.
I'm of mostly Irish heritage, although I don't know much about my ancestors - I wish I did. I do feel very strong Celtic ties, and an enigmatic sort of nostalgia when I read tales of Ireland, or hear the beat of a bodhran, etc. I hope to go to that land one day.
