Character Creation in

                I have developed a new system for creating D&D characters which aims at three things:

1) avoiding player-to-player conflict because one person had better stat rolls;
2) avoiding the min-maxing of character stats when a point system is used; and
3) increasing the level of personality put into a character
before actually playing him/her.

To this effect, you (the player) will be asked 6 randomly selected multiple choice questions regarding how the character would act in various situations. The answers will prioritize your stats with a preset array which will allow players to avoid the chance of making either inept or uber- characters. It would be helpful to have an idea of the character’s personality beforehand, as this will greatly speed up the character creation process.

Sample character creation question:

When I meet someone new, I:
a) try to get useful information from them.
b) make sure they aren’t trying to get the better of me.
c) keep an eye on their posture & eyes to read their character.
d) see if they have anything of value to steal.
e) pay them enough respect to be done with them.
f) treat them warmly.

tips for character creation:

1) make your character interesting (add some kind of skill that will be fun in game even if not incredibly useful)
2) make your character versitile (skills like Knowledge: Dungeoneering and Survival will probably come in handy)
3) think about your 'goals' for the character (are there any prestige classes or feats you'd like to qualify for in the future?)
