| SURVIVOR TRIBAL COUNCIL! This Year's tribal council is VERY different. The actual council is held inside a rectangular hut made of wood, dried brush, and lava rocks. The area is surrounded by stone walls, green vines, and mystical statues, including the symbolical tiki. In the background you can see the mountains of Nuku Haiva, waterfalls, and the lush forest. | The Island of Nuku Haiva. . . Part of the Marquesas Islands! The local of Survivor: Marquesas is the island of Nuku Haiva, on the Marquesas Islanss. . . located in the French Polynasian region. This round, the game is BACK TO THE BEACH! Nuku Haiva has a beautiful coast line, with an inner section of lush forests, waterfalls, botanical gardens, and other natural wonders. Producer Mark Burnett says the island has some Paula Tiga and Australian Outback elements, Because of it's beaches, tropical fish, scorching temperatures, and aminals such as wild pigs.
