Faery Poetry

The Child and the Fairies

The woods are full of fairies!
The trees are all alive;
The river overflows with them,
See how the dip and dive!
What funny little fellows
What dainty little dears!
They dance and leap,
And prance and peep.
And utter fairy cheers!I'd like to tame a fairy.
To see it wash its little face
And dress its little self
I'd teach it manners
It always should say "please"
And then you know I would like to make it sew
And curtsey with its knees

Fairy Frilly

Fairy Frilly for half an hour
Went to sleep in a poppy flower
Went to sleep in her little green frock
And the time of hte ball was ten o' clock
Quater to ten and five to ten
Ticked on the dandelion clock again
But Fairy Frilly was deaf to all
And ten was the time of the fairy ball
Little west wind came by that way
And he pulled of the petal where Frilly lay
Pulled it off with the fairy on it,
Off sailed the petal,
Frilly and all--
And thats how she managed
To get to the ball.

We Are The Fae
We are fleet and we are free
We are all that we can be
Air and fire, land and sea
We are sacred, we are Sidhe
We are wild, we are rare
We are fierce and we are fare
More than others dare
We are glory beyond compare
We are tempest rearing tall
We are foxen sneaking small
We a music and its call
We are Danu's children all
We are dusk we are dawn
We are sparks' immortal spawn
Though you think that we are gone
Still we laugh and linger on
For we can not fade away
So we go on our marry way
In dusk of mortal day
We are the Fae

The Friendship Fairy

One has never seen a Fairy,
but I found this one for you.
This friend who is pretend
Will make your wishes come true.
You see, friends they are like fairies;
They spread magic in our lives endeavours.
I'm glad you are my special friend
Please stay that way forever

Faerie Forests

I wonder if you ever dreamed
In summer's noon day sleep,
Of what the thyme and heather seemed
To ladybirds that creep
Like little,crmison,shimmering gems
between the tiny,twisted steams
Of faerie forests deep.
And what it looks like as they pass
Through jungels of golden grass.

If you see a fairy ring

If you see a fairy ring
In a field of grass
Very ligtly step around
Tip toe as you pass
Last night fairies frolcked there
And they're sleep somewhere near
If you see a tiny fairy
Lying fast asleep
Shut your eyes
And run away
Do not stay to peek
Do not tell
Or you'll break a fairie spell
