Growth: Rapid growth to 12 feet high and 12 feet wide; soft wood
Form: Large mound; can be trained as a tree
Leaves: Light green, 4 inch leaves with 3 lobes
Flowers: Bright rose and white, 3 inches across; spring through July
Exposure: Full sun at coast; part shade inland
Water: Needs water inland, little at coast
Soil: This plant will tolerate wet soil
Fertilizer: None
Prune: Thin to show branches; head to control size
Problems: Short life (10 years); seeds itself abundantly

You can grow this plant easily from seed. Flowers are attractive over a long period of time. Use this mallow where you need a rapid effect.
