Noise from jets bombards people around airports.

New Bedford Airport's main runway points straight at Acushnet and Dartmouth. So the biggest jets will travel across these towns.

Noise (75-85 decibels) from jets overflying to and from the airport is more than 10,000 times the intensity of normal background sound. Rumblings could continue for hours during the day, and wake sleepers at all hours of the night.
