Antarctica
Antarctica New Zealand Provides leadership in
developing, promoting and realising opportunities for
New Zealand from international involvement in Antarctica
and the Southern Ocean
The Antarctica Project The Antarctica Project is the only conservation organization in the
world that works exclusively for
Antarctica. They lead the
domestic (U.S.) and
international campaigns
to protect Antarctica's pristine wilderness and environment.
Domestically, they advocate environmental protections covering all U.S. activities in Antarctica.
Internationally, they lead the
Antarctic and Southern Ocean
Coalition (ASOC), comprised of
two hundred and forty member
groups in fifty countries. ASOC
works to ensure that the
environment comes first when
decisions are made under the
Antarctic Treaty System -- the international body that governs Antarctica.
