This site is divided into several pages:
Mission Statement
In the hopes of raising awareness about the plight of endangered animals throughout the world, Endangered Animals of the World strives to spread knowledge among the public while maintaining the following goals:
Origins and Development
I created the Endangered Animals of the World website for a project I was doing as a member of the 460th Toronto Scout Troop, in Canada. The number of visitors and positive comments I received encouraged me to maintain this site for as long as possible. The following timeline chronicles the development of Endangered Animals of the World:
June 19, 2002 | All entries were verified and updated as required, and a Mission Statement was developed for the site. |
November 29, 1998 | A text-only version of Endangered Animals of the World was released, allowing people with slower connections to easily access the information provided on this site. |
September 7, 1998 | A free search engine from PicoSearch was added to the front page. |
June 28, 1998 | A navigation bar was developed to make the site easier to surf. An awards page was also added. |
March 12, 1998 | To celebrate the first birthday of the site, I redesigned the front page. |
March 12, 1997 | Endangered Animals of the World was born, with a small display of animals. |
