Student labs are my favourite part of learning because each is a prototype mini-project with multiple stages in: planning, doing, analysing, and writing.

This excercise in its' entirety included group collection of a wide range of data for the study area. The data ranged from the macro tree level to the micro soil fauna level and was collected over a period of several weeks. We were required to develop our own hypothesis and apply a multivariate statistical analysis. While this lab had fantastic potential, there were some limitations that seriously compromised the outcome of this excercise, particularly in the selection of statistical analysis on my part, amongst other factors.

Even so, it was a hoot! The cartoon below just about sums it up...
