Moths of Thailand

PAGE 1 | PAGE 2 | PAGE 3

Shen-Horn of Taiwan has identified the moth species above as (top row, left to right) Milleria adalifa, Eterusia repleta, Amesia aliris aliris, and male of Cyclosia midamia; (bottom row, left to right) Eterusia aedia magnifica, Gynautocera papilionaria, male of Cyclosia papilionaris (a variable species), and female of Cyclosia papilionaris.
He says the whole Cyclosia genus has quite complicated mimic relationships with Epicopeiidae (moths), Danainae (butterflies), Nymphalidae (butterflies), Papilionidae (butterflies) Pieridae (butterflies), Arctiidae (moths), Geometridae (moths) and some others. All the species of this genus are sexually dimorphic or even polymorphic.
