Nothing super exciting in the last few days, but a few random thoughts about life...memories flitter back and forth like butterflies during my deliveries...memories of michael timinelli, dublin, grade school, old friends, old roadtrips...I appreciate my life, it's ups, it's downs...it's all worth living for as long as new experience looms on the horizon, and good friends there to share them with.
Life seems to be occuring in blocks of four years. High School was four, college was four, the army is to be four...who knows. I joked with someone at the MEPS in Oakland last monday...yeah, knowing the way this works...i'll be single when i get out for four more years, get married, for four years, then divorced, then married again for four more...heh heh.
So I reserved that free hotel room in Reno for Aug 19th. I'm going to the library today to check email and possibly order a 20bit mapper for my recording rig...either a zefiro or sony...also going to radioshack to see if I can get adapters to fit the core sound cardiods to the marcSounds BFC...front row gave me plenty of bass, but low levels...want to see if it's possible to increase the levels w/o overloading the bass on line in...since with a 20bit mapper there is no *mic-in* or so I believe...
I hafta do laundry today as well. All these fun things to do on my half day off...don't work till 5PM. 1st thing is a meeting with my recruiter to go over a few last things about the DEP (Delayed Entry Program)...things like my AIT (Advanced Individual Training), etc.
I should call Jennifer Decker today too....I should have time to chit chat....maybe go get coffee or something, I dunno...
