Louang Prabang Wats:
While still in Vientiane, someone told us that if we were interested in Wats, Louang Prabang was the place to be. Well, he was right. We spent 5 days in Louang Prabang, time badly needed by Ed to recover from dysintery, during which I had plenty of opportunities to roam around town at my own pace and visit some of the beautiful Wats. I particularly liked the courtyards, where I often stopped to read a book, eat ice cream, or just hang around and relax, watching the coming and goings of the monks. |
