Profit and Loss
The executive penned strange things. He wrote about estimated profits and estimated losses.
He drew graphs to show upturns and downturns. He plotted strategies to show how rivals could be brought to their knees and how assets could be stripped from companies and rolled to make profits. He wrote all these in a volume 200 pages thick and submitted it to the Boss.
" Let us ignore him," said the Boss, "he is obviously a dreamer."
Moral: What we don't understand ; we never appreciate.
