The Ankh:
With no way out

Last time on “The Ankh”:

She was backed in a corner. The world would suffer if she didn’t bond with Vegeta. She couldn’t be selfish. One to suffer is better than billions.

“Fine, I’ll do it.”

::::

“Alright, now that we’ve got settled, can you please make your final wish?! I’m sleepy and want to rest!” roared Shenlong.

“You could try to be more sensitive!” Shouted the angry Bulma.

The dragon snapped his jaw at Bulma. “Bah! You’re not the one who has to live in seven little balls! Try having people only wanting to talk with you to make wishes!”

“I’m sorry,” she apologized “How have the past year been since I last saw you?”

“Peachy, I was sleeping. I had this one dream…,” Shenlong began casually.

“Right. Shenlong, we would love to stay and chat but we gotta defeat Tarnak before the end of the world. So we wish to be taken to The Ankh.” Said Piccolo.

“FINE! I was just making conversation. Sheesh, Namekians are always just business, business, business. They never…,” rambled Shenlong. But the four never heard what he was going to say, it probably wasn’t nice anyway, because they were transported to a very old, very musty, and very dark place.

“I’m blinded! I can’t see!” panicked the idiot Yamcha as Vegeta lit up a ki ball to illuminate the dark tomb.

The tomb was empty except for a large casket to the side of the wall. It was shaped like a humanoid, not how you usually picture a Pharaoh’s casket. It was a simple naked man/woman. It was both male and female. On its breast was ancient Egyptian writing. Bulma crept up and began to read it.

“The bane of existence. Watch mountains vanish and you will know.”

“What the hell is that supposed to mean?” asked Vegeta.

“Beats me. Open the casket.”

Vegeta lifted the top off with no effort and peered inside. There lay a small ivory ring. Embedded in the ring was an even smaller Ankh. The gold Ankh radiated with power. It pulsed with a bead of its own.

“Put it on, woman.”

Bulma gingerly picked up the ring. On the ring the same phrase was written as was on the casket.

“The bane of existence. Watch mountains vanish and you will know.”

She placed the ring on her ring finger, where she would have put her wedding ring. This ring was the reason she would be “married” to Vegeta so it should serve the same purpose. It was fitting.

“Lets leave this place and camp for the night.”

“Right.”

::::

They searched for an hour trying to find an exit out of the tomb. When they had finally escaped the dank chamber it was already night. They made camp in the barren desert.

“Leave.” Vegeta ordered Piccolo and Yamcha. Now was the time to bond. “Little woman, I wish to bond now.”

Bulma was stunned. ‘So soon?’ she thought.

When Vegeta was sure Piccolo and Yamcha were well out of hearing and sight range he knelt next to Bulma.

“I know you have no desire to do this. I know you agreed only because you are pure and have no wish to see your home destroyed. I wish you to know that this is serious, and I will be yours.” Vegeta began to kiss her neck, scraping his sharp canines along her soft neck. He held her in his arms, massaging her back and suddenly bit into her. Sweet metallic blood flowed into him along with her memories.

He saw her with her parents at an amusement park. He felt her jubilation at the production of her first invention.

Her shyness at her first kiss with Yamcha

Her terror when she was lost on Namek.

He raged at some memories and rejoiced with some.

He raged at her moments with Yamcha. Their kisses, their love, their fights, their sex.

He rejoiced at her moments without Yamcha. Their separation after a fight, her joy with machines her life.

Then he saw something he thought he would never see: she thought of him as a real person, not some monster. She respected him and cared for him, even if she didn’t love him as he loved her.

And as quickly as he received these memories they stopped. He licked his mark, lapping up the remaining blood and looked into her face.

“What just happened?”

::We bonded; now you are mine forever.::

“Oh.”

“”””””””””””””””

Hahaha! Thank you for reading. I receive little reviews, but those I do get I feel are precious. I love ya!
