Bulma's Life.....Like It Is! And What It Once Was...... Time to get your party on.... I followed Lela down the dark streets of Miami, searching for 'the perfect club'. Vegeta would complain about the walking, or Lela's chattering, but I mainly kept quiet. I was still seething from Vegeta's snide little comment. I was no longer embarrassed, well still a little, but I was mostly really mad! How dare he?! "Ha! Here we go! This place is great!" Lela exclaimed, stopping in front of a large club near the beaches. It was called 'Heat', and it was crowded, judging by the long line to get in. I wasn't even old enough to drink, unlike Lela and Vegeta, I had just learned. I knew Vegeta's age, but I didn't know that Lela was also eighteen, apparently she had just turned. I was almost sixteen, my birthday was in a matter of weeks. But it looked like I would have to pretend tonight. We reached the front of the line, and I guess I either looked older, or the perverted teenager running the ID checks liked me, because I got in, able to drink and all. I was relieved. The club had loud, *really* loud, music playing and everyone was dancing and laughing. The bar was prosperous, and the lighting was perfect. I smiled playfully and turned to Lela and Vegeta. "I say we stay here for an hour or so, then hit the other clubs!" I yelled over the noise, and Lela nodded. Vegeta crossed his arms. I glared at him and crossed my arms, also. "You don't want to, *fine* with me! I know you don't like to show your ugly face in public, and I don't blame you!" I said, and turned to the dance floor and started dancing with the nearest guy available. Vegeta glared daggers, and then smirked. "At least *I* don't look like some kind of hooker," He sneered. I stopped dancing, to the guy's protests, and advanced on him slowly. "You wanna say that again?" He smirked and shook his head. "Wouldn't waste my breath!" He said, and walked off. I glared after him and saw Lela watching us mischeviously. "I *so* have to know your whole history!" She said, and rolled her eyes. I pulled her to the dance floor and we danced the night away, oblivious to everything else. ~*~ We had been dancing for hours, stopping once in a while to get a drink or some food, and my feet were totally killing me. Lela agreed, so we went off in search of Vegeta. I really expected to find him at the bar or something, so you can imagine my initial shock at finding him dancing with some random girl. Jealously seared through me, and my good mood disappeared. Lela came to the rescue. "Hey! We are leaving!" She yelled, and he stopped and smirked. The wench he was with pouted and glanced at both of us, finding me the competition, and glared at me. I glared back, and she looked away. I smiled and crossed my arms. "Don't worry, Vegeta. You can stay here with this little slut if you want, she appears to be quite lonely," I sneered quietly, offending the girl, who brushed past my shoulder as she stomped away. I smiled in satisfaction, and saw Lela looking at me like I had sprouted fangs or something. Vegeta was doing it, too. I glared at both of them and rolled my eyes. "Got a problem?" I asked, and pulled Lela with me as I walked out of the club. The ID checker winked and whistled, and I flipped him off. That stupid wench..... "Bulma! Let me talk to her alone for one minute, Vegeta," Lela said, and I heard Vegeta agree, and Lela pulled me aside. I crossed my arms and looked away. I didn't know what was wrong with me, it wasn't like he was *mine*, after all! "Bulma, you-you really, *really* need to be with him, I mean, you got it *bad*!" Lela whispered, and I narrowed my eyes at her. "No, I *don't*! That stupid girl just was *glaring* at me, like I was *competition* or something!" I growled. "No, she wasn't. She was glaring at me, too, Bulma. We both know that he is hot, so just accept the fact that it is only natural for girls to like him. Just chill! Part of why you are so mad, Bulma, is the fact that you are...well, different from most girls. I mean, you have spent bascially your whole life on a strange planet, and if sort of shows." I pulled my wrist from her grasp and stamped down to the beach, where I sat down under a large palm tree and sulked. Lela nor Vegeta came after me. I was glad. I was insulted. I was *to* normal! I could hear Lela talking to him, she had a real problem with being quiet. I listened and felt hurt by her innocent and well meant words. "Vegeta, Bulma just hasn't been herself lately, you and I both know it, and I know why. But I respect her privacy, so I won't say much. But I will tell you this, she isn't the person you would want to cross now," She explained. "I think I am well aware of her little *problem*, woman, and I can do whatever I wish. You really don't think I am afraid to piss her off, do you?" Vegeta asked, and I could hear Lela struggle for words. "Good, then don't do it again," He said, and walked off, I didn't know where, I didn't want to look back and make it obvious. Lela came over behind me, and I closed my eyes and ignored her until she left for home, probably. She had betrayed me again, and I was embarrassed. Not normal, my ass! I was just as normal as the next girl... Visions of my life played through my head like a movie, ones that backed Lela's theory up. Me and Vegeta playing pranks on his father, me crying as I got home from classes, everything. I realized I wasn't normal. I was actually more Saiyan in my actions than that of a human teenage girl, and I hadn't realized how obvious that was. I shook my head and felt tears fall down my cheeks, down my neck, and fall to the soft sand beneath me. I was *different*, and no one wanted someone *different* for anything, not even the Saiyan king himself. A star twinkled above me, the first one, and I felt a small comfort, knowing that I at least had *some* support. ~*~ Hehehehe, sorry that I couldn't add what I promised y'all, I just had a good idea, and don't worry, you will be happy I made the choice later!! Ja ne, and please tell me what you all think! b e a u t i f u l : : i r o n y
