Bulma's Life.....Like It Is! And What It Once Was...... Guidance has returned to an empire of chaos at last..... I woke up with a start, sitting up quickly, and finding myself in a strange place. I looked around frantically, and then realized that this was my old room back on Vegetasei! I jumped off my bed and saw that my bag of clothes and money was also there. I bolted to the window and saw no one in the greenhouse area, which was strange. I remembered my dream, or rather, my *vision*, and then a cold hard fact hit me. Vegeta was King. And when he arrived...no doubt there would be a reaction. I bolted from my room and ran all the way to his rooms, where I pressed in the code that I had known since childhood, and the doors opened. I heard someone swearing in Saiyan from around the corner and I walked towards the noise to see Vegeta reading something, looking very angry. I cleared my throat and he turned around and smirked. "Figures. You have no idea how horribly screwed I am for being gone so long," He muttered, and got up. He was wearing a scarlet set of Saiyan armor, obviously preparing to go see his people. He eyed my outfit and shook his head. "You are going to have to get dressed up if you are to make an appearance." I sighed and rolled my eyes. "I hate these things! All this big deal and I have seen you for all this time!" I complained, half joking around, and he pushed me to the door, following me out. "I will wait, kuso, woman, if you take too long..." He warned, and I smiled at him innocently. "Who...me?" I said, and ran to my room. I opened my closet and looked over my clothes. I decided on a white dress I had gotten from one of the nobles. I hurried to put on the long, silky strapless dress and it's matching gloves. I pulled my hair into a bun high on my head and decided that my face looked fine after applying some white eyeshadow. I was coming out and I walked near Vegeta who let out a fake, saracastic snore. "I told you to hurry!" He said, and crossed his arms. "Oh, and I bet *you* took no longer!" I said, and rushed to make it to the throne room in time. "Stop for a minute. I want to see what's going on," Vegeta said, and peeked in through one of the covered windows. He shook his head and rolled his eyes. "A stupid meeting. Come on, I will need your help with information regarding Earth." I nodded and followed him in slowly. I wasn't sure what I thought of being asked about Earth in front of all those strangers. It wasn't that I was scared, it was just that I was a little disturbed. The room was full of Saiyans and aliens alike, and Vegeta tensed up to his usual arrogant self as soon as we entered, and I put on my self-assured image again, but inside, I was scared now! All of those people were looking at me like I was some sort of strange...thing. I lifted my head and Vegeta beckoned for me to sit next to him at one of the long tables. I sat down soflty and looked at my hands until I regained my composure again. I heard some rather snide comments that made me really angry from one of the aliens, a fat purple one. I glanced up and gave him my best glare. He glared back. "Who do you think you are?" He hissed, narrowing his eyes. I smirked. "Someone I wouldn't recommend messing with," I said, just to piss him off. He smirked also, his ugly face radiating laughter. "You are a feisty one!" He said. I scowled and muttered some curses, just loud enough for him and maybe Vegeta to hear. Vegeta *did* here, and smirked at my rude comments. The purple alien glanced back from me to Vegeta and smirked like he knew something secret. I rolled my eyes and looked at Vegeta. "What is the point of this?" I asked, keeping my voice low so only he could hear. "I have to inform them that I wasn't slacking off. They feel that they have to know my doings," He said, and scowled. "Little do *they* know...they aren't going to find anything important out." I laughed and Vegeta stood up, getting everyone's attention instantly. He was obviously greatly respected. I smiled and waited for his speech or story or whatever he was going to do. This should be really interesting... "Shut up everyone, I have no doubt of your intentions as far as showing up," He started, and the few talkers left shut up. "My doings on Earth have benefited to our empire, as planned." He said, and everyone cheered. I was sure that he meant making some sort of peace with Frieza, which, unfortunatly, so wasn't true. "I know that you are all tittering on about the bakayaro of a warrior, Frieza, and I assure you, he is taken care of. Thanks to Bulma Briefs," He said, smirking. Their glances shifted to me, looks of question in their eyes. I wasn't powerful or scary-looking at all, so they were probably wondering what had possesed Vegeta and how long it was until it blew over. "She has defeated him mentally, if not physically," Vegeta said, and laughed a cold laugh. "I now know why women keep long nails." Some of the more perverted males laughed at this little pun and I smirked disdainfully. Vegeta picked up one of my hands to show my nails, of which were still a light pink in color from Frieza's disgusting blood. Some of the warriors laughed and commented about how stupid Frieza was if a woman had defeated him. My cheeks burned at this last comment and I glared at the baka who had said it. "Earth is very much different than our own planet. It is much more fertile, populated, and developed as far as agriculture goes," Vegeta said, drawing the interest of all the men in the room. Apparently, exploring and no doubt conquering Earth was in great interest. "But the race is far more weak, as we all know, and less advanced in technology." I looked down, I still didn't like hearing my race bashed, even if I had been basically growing up in a Saiyan land. I could hear some of the men chuckle and jibe about Earth and humans. My cheeks burned, not from shame, but from anger. They hadn't any rights to do that! "Some of you have already looked into it as a possible place to take over, and I don't blame you, but I believe that it might be one of the more diffucult ones to take over, the population being somewhere around 60 billion," Vegeta said, and some of the Saiyans looked shocked. I had thought that their own population was close, but I guessed that I was wrong. A man close to me stood up. "Permission to speak, your Majesty?" He asked, his voice gruff and rough sounding. Vegeta nodded. "What does the woman have to do with this? She shook Frieza off, that's all, with all due respect, your Highness," He snarled, glaring at me. I glared back and stood up also, facing him. Some gasped at my definance towards the King. I ignored them and glared at the offender. "What do *you* have to do with this, wise ass?" I snapped. "I have done far more for your planet than you will ever *dream* of doing, so shut your trap!" The man glared at me and began to power up, and I held my ground, crossing my arms. Vegeta growled lowly, and both me and the man sat down. "That is quite enough, Velare. And you woman," He said, and I narrowed my eyes and looked away. "She has *everything* to do with this. You see, her family was once the most powerful, rich family on Earth. They were in charge. Her father was killed by my own, and her mother just recently did so," He said, eyeing me for a second before continuing. "But this still doesn't change anything. If she showed up, the baka humans would look to her for guidance, and that is where our advantage lies." I looked up, confused. What advantage? For what? "If we want to conquer the planet, what better way to do it?" He announced, and the men cheered. I narrowed my eyes at Vegeta and shook my head. "Who says I will go through with all of this?" He smirked. "I do. We already agreed on this, and I plan on going through with it. No backing out now." I mentally slapped myself for ever agreeing, and shook my head. Vegeta stepped back from the table and waved his hand. "You are all dismissed," He said, and the men scrambled to leave, and to tell everyone else of these things. I stood back as they filed out, and approached Vegeta, my arms crossed. "What a bunch of dogs!" I said, and he rolled his eyes. "They are warriors and stuck up nobles. They *always* act like they have a stick up their ass," He said, and walked towards the exit. "I am leaving, stay if you want." I nodded and watched him go. I wanted to think for a while. ~*~ Well, Bulma isn't exactly willing, but hey, what can she do?? Tell me what you all think, ja ne!!
