Parkesy:

Really quick movie review for "Dreamcatcher".

Rating: HATE!

Well it was kinda ok if you switch your mind off. Nah not even that. Just a really convoluted mish-mash of psychic alien military horror. Plot holes that'd keep H.P.K. raving for a fortnight. When will a Steven King book ever be made into a decent movie ("The Shining" excepted)? The book probably wasn't much better. Who knows.

NS2K:

My review...

Starts off well, like an adult, supernatural version of Stand By Me. Characters and cast are likeable then suddenly Morgan Freeman says "I've been hunting these damned aliens for 25 years", and it all goes downhill from there... And the biggest "what the f...!" ending I think I've ever seen! And it's just too long - when NS2K's hip starts a-hurtin' you know the movie has worn out it's welcome.

Rating: Unfortunately it's a HATE! but I wish it wasn't.

Actually, I'd say Misery was a pretty good Stephen King adaption - and the mini series of The Stand was good given the book was absolutely huge.
