Parkesy:
I didn’t like X-Men2 as much as the first one. This is probably because the bit I liked the most about the first one was finding out about the different characters (the only thing I knew about the X-Men was what I read in Twisted Mego Theatre). I dunno, it also just lacked a little something that the original had. Maybe it had 10% more of Mystique’s boobs and 10% less love. That said, I still liked it.

H.P.K.:
Yeah I can't say there's going to be much controversy here. I'd almost go so far as to say Parkesy hit the nail right on the head.
X-men had that discovery thing going. The whole concept of mutants being explained and played out was pretty cool for mine. On the other hand, I thought X-men 2 had a better dose of action, and dwelt on the mutants I liked a little more. Also thought Wolverine was a much tougher psycho in X-men 2 (the difference being they added the psycho). But all in all, I'd probably put them down as equals. A good set of two movies to watch in a row for sure.
Stupid positive reviews. Where's the hatred?

This movie sucked! How the Hell can you say it was good??!! I mean for crying out loud, Wolverine gets shot in the head and the bullet goes right in – but his skull is made of frigging indestructible metal, so how did it go in? Wouldn’t it just bounce off his forehead? And those cops getting shot with a huge fireball and all they get is some sooty makeup on them? And Cyclops’ super ray vision thing can blow the damn roof off Grand Central Station but when it hits a person they just get knocked back and go ‘oww’. And why didn’t that security guard die after he got an entire syringe full of mercury injected into his body? More holes in the plot than a vagrant has in his undies.
I also thought that the gaffer and the second wardrobe assistant didn’t know their ass from their elbow.
