- Designation:
“Vitjaz-PM” demining suit is designed to provide anti-fragments protection and defect blast from personnel working in the field of humanitarian demining. It is relatively light unit allowing deminers and EOD specialists to wear it and work in the standing, kneeling and prone positions without loosing concentration. “Vitjaz-PM” also provides an adequate comfort and suits people of different height and build.

Composition: “Vitjaz-PM” demining suit consists of:
- armoured protective jacket,
- protective shorts with fixed groin protection,
- armoured leg protection,
- belt with additional demining equipment,
- carrying bag.

- Materials used:
- a number of armoured elements made of alloy BT-23 (titanian-made plates), 3,0 mm thickness providing extra protection to the vital parts of human body,
- 15-layer packet made of ballistic tiisue SVM # 56319 (Russian name for Kevlar),
- coverall made of non-toxic, non-melting and fire resistance material.

- Practical test conducted:
in 1997 and 1998 confirmed that “Vitjaz-PM” demining suit is capable to withstand a V50 rating of 450 m/s for a 1.102 g fragments that corresponds to the International Standards of Humanitarian Mine Clearance.
- Quality assurance certificate
issued in Russian Federation (national GOST STANDARD norm) in February 2000 as available. Its criteria is in strict accordance with International Standards of Humanitarian Mine Clearance.
- Guarantee exploatation period
is four years from the date of production.
