SEETHER! SEETHER!

I KNOW SEETHER!

15 October, 2003

AGH! I've done it AGAIN!!

Last night was my long-anticipated concert of the fall - Three Days Grace, SEETHER, and NICKELBACK. Mere hours before the show started I got the news that the afterparty was cancelled due to DoubleDrive getting into a car accident...which also meant no Die Trying...which also meant that I COULD go to Graham's Central Station in time to catch at LEAST The Franklin Theory play, if not ColdFuse. So I took it for all that it was worth.

I jammed out like CRAZY to 3 Days Grace....I *LOVE* those guys! They kick SO much ass live....Elena and Alix...you guys were right! ;) And THEN came Seether. Kevin's drum kit was placed on the elevated stage for Nickelback...and I chose to stand Stage Left...right in front of Pat Callahan. *dumdumdum* AWESOME! AWESOME! There were BUNCHES of people in line when we got there, but somehow we all ended up standing in the FRONT FRICKING ROW....AGAIN. I had the PERFECT position. We never caught Seether's guitar tech, but hey....there's always next time. ;)

So I'm standing there...jamming out INSANELY hard to Seether, I look up at Pat...and guess who's looking back at me! *hmm, I wonder!* I give him a HUGE smile and the horns, and he smiles this HUGE grin back at me, and rocks out just a little bit harder. I go back to jamming - and yes, I knew every song but Burrito. Give me a couple of more shows and I'll have that one down too. ;) - every now and then I'd look up at Pat to see him rocking out HARDCORE...but not looking at me. So I didn't think that he recognized me.

Perhaps I was wrong.

Mom thinks he did, and Heather said that he kept looking at me "about a billion times," so who knows...maybe he did. The Cleveland show wasn't that long ago, after all. But one time I caught his eye, and I pointed at him, gave him the horns, and mouthed at him 'You fuckin rock, man.' He got this HUGE friggen grin on his face, and gave me this sort of wink...*HAHA! PAT, YOU FUCKIN ROCK MAN!* After their set, he looked at me, and tossed me his pick....I NEARLY caught it, but it bounced off of my fingers, and landed on the ground. I begged the security guard to pick it up for me, but he just shrugged, and let the asshole bouncer to his left pick it up and give it to one of his friends. Talk about fucked up. That pick was mine, damn it! *GRR* I have to write a letter to the editor of our local newspaper and complain about bouncers that hog all of the concert memorabilia from the fans. That is just SO incredibly wrong to do that to us who pay assloads of money to go to concerts.

There is a possible Seether show that I might could get to in Amarillo with Seether, 3 Doors Down, and Shinedown.....maybe, hopefully I can convince my parents to let me go to that one. :D :D :D :D :D I WANNA SEE SHINEDOWN AND SEETHER AGAIN! I WANNA MAKE IT FIVE TIMES SEEING SEETHER TOTAL! And Amarillo is SOOOOO close to Lubbock that it's not even funny. I could EASILY go...it's just a matter of convincing my TOO-STRICT father to let me go.

*gets down on both knees* PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE!
