AN EDGE ON THE COMPETITION: "As much of an emo kid as I am, it is very refreshing to hear something with more power and more energy. ENTER RAZORZ EDGE, a greatly talented and driven hard rock band out of West Bend consisting of Mike Behn and Dan Missall on guitars and John Korbar on drums. My rock music beginnings started with the likes of Metallica and Godsmack, and even though the music does not interest me as much anymore, it is great to hear someone else slice through the air with a guitar riff powerful enough to leave your ear drums shaking. There is something so hypnotic about metal music. It could be the beat that moves at the pace of a bobbing head or the drastically changing musical instruments that enter the mix. Either way it makes for a great time and good release of stress. I sat down with Razorz Edge to learn about its beginning, its past, and its future. DAILY NEWS:When was the band formed? RAZORZ EDGE:We got together about two years ago. It was around fall and Mike and Dan were talking at lunch. I saw he had a guitar magazine so i asked if he was interested in starting a band. It all really went quickly from there, and really worked well together. (More about history, check history page) DN:What are your biggest influences? RE:Definitely Metallica. That is our biggest influence by far. Other than that we are inspired by the likes of Ted Nugent, Godsmack, Pantera, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. These guys have really paved the way for the style of music that we play and it's great to have these kind of people to look up to. Next Page |
