Secret Weapons |
|
In Resident Evil 3, there are ALOT of weapons to choose from. Just playing on Easy mode, you immediately have access to a wide variety of weapons in your chest; from the basic Knife to the Magnum and Grenade Launcher.
Well, Hard mode does'nt make it that easy for you. You start off with a Knife and your standard side-arm, an M92F-Custom 9mm handgun. That's it!
All this hardship makes us wish we were packin' something that could explode those zombies, or just a weapon with infinite ammo (searching for ammo pickups wastes alot of time).
So here's some eye-candy for you trigger-happy gamers, and a description of where you can find these weapons.

This is, of course, the assault rifle. In the Mercenaries Mode, this is Carlos' weapon of choice. The ammo is measured in percentage, rather than number of bullets. The picture below it is the A.R. Ammo, which is only found in Merc.'s Mode. Why? Because when Jill has the A.R., it will have infinite ammo. The A.R. can be bought with money won in "Merc.'s", then selecting "Restart". It'll be in the storage chest. You can also get the A.R. if you're playing on a new gamefile, and "kill" Nemmie 7 times. (See "Nemesis Droppings" for more details.) |

This gorgeous beeyach is the Gattling Gun. It spits out ammo so fast that it'd be impossible to count how many rounds you've spent. Good thing it has infinite ammo! You can get it by playing the Mercenaries game, then buying it with your winnings. |

Hehehehe... This is the M66 Rocket Launcher. If you get it the normal way during gameplay, it only has 4 shots... But if you buy it in the Merc's game, it has Unlimited Ammo! Very powerful. |

This is the Sigpro SP2009 Handgun. It takes the same ammo as the M29F Custom, and fires at the exact same speed. You can only get it while playing as Carlos, or during the Merc's game... (Unless you have a Gameshark...) |

Yeeeeeeeehaww!!!!!!! This here's the Western Custom M37 Shotgun. It takes the same ammo as the Benelli, but fires at about twice the speed. To get this gun, combine "M37 Parts A & B" when you get them from Nemesis. (Click for Details.) |

This is the Mine Thrower. You can only get this weapon when you're playing on "Hard" mode. You find it on the dead mercenary's body in the main hall of the Clock Tower. Look below for a picture of where you get it. Below the picture of the Mine Thrower is a picture of the Mine Thrower Ammo. There are only a few areas in the game where you can pick it up, so go easy on the ammo. If you've already beat the game on "Hard" mode, and choose "Restart", then you'll pick up the Enhanced Mine Launcher, which has infinite ammo and tracing bullets. |

This handgun is the best for decappin' zombies. It's called the "STI Eagle 6.0" You can only get this weapon by picking up the Eagle Parts A & B respectively (shown below). See "Nemesis Droppings" for details. Click here if you're having difficulties wasting Nemmy. This gun fires at about 2.5 times the speed of the M92F, and is actually rather successful for decapitating zombies. Be careful with this gun, or you might end up running out of ammo. |
