JeniViolet was born and raised on the planet Corellia, in the heart of Coronet City, some 26 years before the battle of Endor and the fall of Emperor Palpatine. Her father Homer was an architect, and the pride & joy of all the buildings he designed was the new factory and distribution center for Whyrens Reserve. Although the family was far from poverty-stricken, the job would provide great financial support for them, and her father was excited about building the new facility. With a five-year-old daughter and a son on the way, he and his wife Marge would be able to concentrate on raising their family instead of trying to support it.

The Whyrens job would prove to be a double-edged vibroblade in the end. When constuction was nearly completed, an accident occured at the building site. Marge was visiting her husband when she was killed by falling debris. On top of the salary for designing the building, Homer and JeniViolet were both given generous settlements. Mourning the fact that his family had effectively been reduced by half, Homer fell into a drunken state of despair. This was not helped by another generous bonus provided by Whyrens=a free lifetime supply. Therefore, JeniViolet has few memories of her father sober, and fewer of her mother in general.

While Homer proceeded to nearly bankrupt Whyrens, JeniViolet discovered the deadly hand-to-hand combat Echani. Holodramas depicting Imperial Royal Guards served to fuel her interest in the beginning, particularly a really cheesy holo that featured her favorite actor: Garik Loran. She soon learned that the combat portrayed in the holos was not accurate, and began researching all she could about the Royal Guards. Unfortunately, the Guard was shrouded in mystery, and she was left with an even stonger desire for more knowledge of the Guard and their way of combat. At age twelve, she was already proficient at street fighting, and wanted more.

Things changed when JeniViolet was thirteen; Homer met and began courting a Selonian woman. He stopped drinking and JeniViolet really hated that; it was easier for her to get away with poodoo when he was drunk. She also hated her new stepmother, who was not human. Her father began to spend his compensation pay from Whyrens like there was no tomorrow-lavishly spending it all on his new wife. JeniViolet reviewed her options, and they were not promising:

1. Kill her step=mother. (Not that she was afraid of murder, only the thought of a Diktat prison.)

2. Kill her father.

3. Run away. (At thirteen, she didn't really know how to fly a ship, and doubted her feet would even reach the contols.)

4. Bide her time, wait for her settlement to come in when she was eighteen, and hightail it outta there.

After reviewing all options for all of 30 minutes, she decided on option 4. But in the meantime she would practice her combat skills and begin learning to pilot spacecraft.

Fate would soon interfere. When she was sixteen, Homer died under mysterious circumstances. After CorSec had been through the crime scene, they were left with no promising leads and JeniViolet was left with a bad feeling about the incompetence of salaried investigators. When settlement money began to dissappear, JeniViolet knew there was only one person... er, thing, responsible. Her stepmother. After much soul=searching while wandering the streets of Treasure Ship Row, she found her way into her father's favorite cantina. The bartender, who recognized her immediately, offered a drink, his condolences and his ears. In the end, he gave her a Blastech DL-44 he had confiscated from an earlier fight. She left with his encouragement to confront her stepmother still ringing in her mind.

Arriving at home, she readied the blaster and entered her stepmother's bedroom. To her surprise, the room was empty. A strange sensation within told her to turn around, and when she did, the Selonian was only two meters away, in combat position with a vibroblade.

JeniViolet pulled the trigger.

"Oopsie," she said, nudging the Selonian to make sure it was dead.

Unfortunately, CorSec had finally gotten their act together, and had arrived to arrest the stepmother. As they entered the house, JeniViolet was on the comm with the bank, frantically placing her settlement money in care of the bartender. She was taken in by CorSec, who assured her they were just going to question her. On the ride to headquarters, she overheard them discussing the situation and realized they were lying to her. She didn't know their true intent, only that there was duplicity in their minds.

Before questioning, she had time to reflect on the nature of the strange sensations she had been receiving that day. She stared longingly at the blaster they had confiscated from her. If only she had it in her hands, she could get out of there...

To her surprise, the blaster began to wobble in her direction. She found herself imagining the blaster in her grip, and imagining the CorSec officers were too busy to pay attention to her. The next thing she knew, she had the blaster in her hand and four surprised CorSec officers in her range. She backed out of the office, and took off at a full run. CorSec followed in hot pursuit, but she lost them in the maze of hallways. Unfortunately, she got herself lost also in her descent to an underground tunnel system. She hid out in the tunnels for a full day before coming to a hanger. By the appearance of the guards, she knew it was the Diktat's personal hanger. And in it was... oh my stars... the most beautiful X-wing fighter she had ever seen.

It was in top-notch condition, painted red with a yellow screaming peregrine on the fuselage. After 10 seconds of review, she decided to go out with a bang. What better way to go than in the Diktat's personal fighter? She summoned all of the concentration that had helped her earlier and quickly shot down both of the guards.

Getting off the ground proved to be far easier than she imagined. Five klicks away, she was still waiting for fighters to intercept her. At twenty-five klicks, she started to regain control over her breathing. At fifty klicks, she exited the atmosphere, and knew she was leaving her home forever.

She couldn't just leave the system that quickly though. She knew she had to stop and get arrangements for her money. She decided to stop at a refeuling station in orbit over Corellia and place a call to the bartender. He agreed to clean the transfer trail and forward three-quarters of the money to a friend who had a repair shop in the Corporate Sector. She insisted he keep the last of the money and get himself off planet as soon as possible.

The mechanic, whose name was Doc, took extremely good care of her ship, changed all the ID codes, and upgraded it beyond anything the Diktat had imagined. He also had it repainted; the same design but in two shades of purple. When JeniViolet asked him "why purple?" he replied "The violet is a beautiful but deadly plant on my homeworld. In it's most common form, it's a purple color, and the word violet has even taken to representing this color."

Beautiful but deadly. JeniViolet liked that.

She also had the astromech's memory wiped, and downloaded a much friendlier personality. She renamed the droid "Spanky," simply because she thought it was a cute name.

The next four years were a drunken blur. Whyrens Reserve was difficult to come by in the Corporate Sector, and she spent a good portion of her money in cantinas and ship fuel. Finally, she started to consider that she might need (gasp!) a job, so she took up with a bounty hunter and helped him with his jobs. They finally parted ways after a disagreement regarding profit sharing.

Seven years after leaving Corellia, JeniViolet decided to try things in Imperial space again. The Rebels had just destroyed the Death Star at Yavin and she knew the price tags on their heads would be high. She got an apartment on Coruscant, and stored her X-wing there while she rented out a ship more suitable to bounty hunting. After bringing in several low-ranking Rebel pilots and officers, she was able to get her financial situation almost back to where it was when she started. But she had only been in "retirement" for about 6 months when she received a summons from an Imperial who would go unnamed: the bounty was on a genuine Jedi lightsaber, taken from anyone, anywhere. This Imperial claimed to need it for some type of collection, and would pay handsomely for it. JeniViolet didn't even know what a lightsaber was, but she took the job.

In the dark underworld of Coruscant, she found one. After two weeks of playing cat-and-mouse with this Jedi (or Jedi wannabe, she didn't really think there were any true Jedi left), she was able to once again call upon her unknown powers to hide her presence from the lightsaber owner. As he slept, she shot him with her blaster and took the lightsaber. As an afterthought, she checked his wallet and shook her head when she saw where he was from.

Corellia. Her homeworld, the place she was exiled from. And for the first time in years, she realized that she would never be going back. The finality of it shook her, and she silently vowed that as long as she was never going home again, she should do as much damage as she could. It was fun, after all.

"That is why Corellian Jedi should never leave their home system" she said to him as she dropped the wallet and left the dead body there for someone else to deal with.

Back home, she decided to play with the lightsaber for a while before turning it it. It had a purple blade, and she was able to do more damage than she possibly imagined with it. Against her own better judgement, she decided to keep it. She took the X-wing out of storage and left Coruscant.

The irony of the situation was not lost on her. She was now a bounty hunter pursued by bounty hunters for disregarding Imperial orders. Eluding the bounty hunters was easy for her though, and she managed to lose them after several weeks of flying around the outer rim territories. She knew it would only be a matter of time before they picked up her trail again. A more permanent solution was necessary.

The solution presented itself when she visited the world of Bakura. An Imperial world on the edge of the Unknown Regions, an Imperial mapping team was there on leave at the same time as JeniViolet. She met up with an off-duty stormtrooper in a cantina, and they hit it off instantly. His name was Tyros Dakon and he had been rotated out of the Royal Guard services to work with a Grand Admiral in the Unknown Regions. Spellbound by her persuasion, he was able to erase all records of her in the Grand Admiral's system and call off the Bounty Hunters. Tyros and JeniViolet spent the rest of his leave together, and he taught her a few things about Echani and the way of the Royal Guard. They promised to see each other again in the future.

Upon leaving Bakura, JeniViolet met up with an odd-colored Super Star Destroyer...

LordBaronReno has often asked JeniViolet to use her history with the Whyrens corporation to acquire free alcohol for the squadron. Knowing how her father nearly bankrupted the company, she feels that stealing Whyrens from others is far better than forcing Whyrens out of business...

It is rumored that JeniViolet and Han Solo had a brief liason while she lived in the Corporate Sector. Poor record keeping in the Corporate Sector makes this unverifiable, but Doc may say otherwise.
