The Tavern
Welcome to the tavern. This is the place where you can hang out, drink, and spend the night. It's a tad bit cold outside, being Bloody Midnight and all. I suggest you spend the night.
You may be wondering what the heck I'm talking about. Well, here's some Iska, I'll tell you the story.
Bloody Midnight is what happens every night, when temperatures drop very rapidly and most people stay indoors. The only ones that can survive outside are the vampires, mikstrens, and wandiers. Although it may seem weird, the effects of Bloody Midnight never happen indoors, lucky for us humans. Outside, the wind blows strong and the sky turns a mysterious purple, red, and blue.
Here at the tavern we harbor a slogan of Where The Wind Ends. For beyond this point of town the winds suddenly stop and ice-capped mountains stand in all directions but backwards. Few humans have dared to enter the mountains, as none have ever returned. Most will say that you'll never make it before midnight. But I... I believe there is a way. But, I'm sure you don't want to hear that story. What's that? You say you do? Very well, I will tell you the legend Esept, for a price.
