About Me
I am Jemimah Grace N. Garcia,
a 3rd year Journalism student at the College of Mass Communication in UP Diliman.
I am a student, a writer, a leader and a daughter - anak ng magulang,
anak ng bayan.
I am a proud member of the Union of Journalists of the Philippines (UJP-UP) a pro-masses and pro-student organization of future media practitioners. As member of the union’s Education Committee, I help in the planning of the various educational discussions of the members and the applicants.
I am also one of the two Journalism Representatives to the CMC Student Council. I currently head the Media Awareness Committee, which, I think, was given to me just as a token committee. It is the Education and Research Committee that I want to handle because this committee has responsibility over the various issues we need to be educated on – the ToFI, the RIPADA demolition, the media killings, the dorm mess, the extrajudicial killings and forced abductions, etc.
You might think that I take life very seriously. My website’s layout is formal, if not cynical for some, but it is just that I take my advocacy and responsibility to the students and the masses seriously. Feel free to approach me along the corridors of CMC or at the College of Engineering if you want to know me more. I assure you that I’m a whole lot of fun. =)
Alagad ng midya, para kanino ang panulat at pag-uulat mo,
Sa masa masang api, o sa sistemang abusado?

Red - the color of blood and of encompassing change
Butterfly - stingy, swift, learned and ready
I am the RED BUTTERFLY...
...come see me fly
