No need to tell you that the power came out in full force last night behind Manny Ramirez (3-Run HR), Troy O'Leary (Solo), and Carl Everett (Grandsalm). Ramirez was a line shot that didn't get more than 15 feet off the ground, Everett's just made it to the wall, but O'Leary's, that was an absolute shot. The only question was whether it was going to stay fair. I've never seen O'Leary hit a ball that far. I think he was probably ticked after whiffing with the bases juiced earlier in the game (with 2-outs). Frank Castillo improved his record to 3-1 over his 5+ innings of work. After that Rolando Arrojo continued his relief dominance going the rest of the way, allowing only one hit and no runs. Arrjo is still yet to be scored upon this year (knock on wood). Tomo Ohka will take the hill today vs Tim Reichert and his 2.73 ERA. The bats will have to come up big again today as Kansas City can't be expected to only score two, two games in a row. But then again, maybe they can. Sorry to make this so short, but like I said, I'm off to the game again. |
