Winning is overrated anyway

  • Oh, I'm sorry that word may be foreign to you, 'winning'. The word 'winning', which is derived from the word 'win', is when you actually defeat your opponent (i.e. score more runs). You laugh? Well we used to do it.

1974. That was the last time the Angels swept the Sox in Fenway. What a perfect time to let them do it again. Going into the game the Evil Ones had already had their asses handed to them 12-2 by the Rangers, so it was a pressure free game. I guess we just didn't want to be left out as far as the beatings went.

Oh, and now those same Rangers, winners of 10 of 12, are coming to Boston for a four game set. Yep, looks like this is going to be a fun stretch. A team with no pitching, perfect, we won't be able to hit, and a ton of hitting, to make sure they completely level us.

This sucks. This really really sucks.
