Three! Ah, ah, ah, ah, ahhh!

  • Hmmm... The Tobin Bridge is deserted, funny how a few wins can turn the outlook around. We gained some good ground back on the empire over the weekend (3.5 back), a win tonight would be a nice cap to the home stand as we head to Oakland for three.

Rolando Arrojo (6IP 3H 1R 1ER 3BB 8K W): Kind of seems like a crime that he's only 3-3, which hasn't been any fault of his own. Rolando continues to roll in place of Pedro and I would say has permanently solidified himself into the rotation for the remainder of the season. Sorry Wakes, but it's a matter of whose doing better when Castillo comes back, and Arrojo is En Fuego.

Doug Mirabelli (3-3 3RBI 2-2B): Who'd have thought I'd be highlighting something he did in a game? Takes someone new each day I guess, and this was his day to shine.

Manny Ramirez (1-3 2R 2RBI HR): Please be getting back on track. Please be getting back on track.

Ugeth Urbina (1IP 0H 0R 0ER 0BB 3K): Holy gas! Three of the best hitters in the game in ARod, Palmeiro and IRod, and Ugeth basically told them the heater was coming and they still couldn't hit it. Lets hope that the Yankees failure to trade for him comes back to haunt them in a very big way.

Not much else to say, we're on a nice, and much needed, roll right now and I think it would be in our best interest to take tonight's as well before we head out to Oakland for a three game set with the red hot Athletics. This is going to be a huge Wild Card series, but then again we don't want the WC do we?

  • Anyone see the Mariners/Indians on ESPN last night? I've never seen anything like that before, never. I realize that miracle win by the Tribe does nothing good for the Sox, but I just couldn't root for the Ms while watching. What a sight.

  • Pedro Update: He's scheduled to throw of the mound today in the pen for 7-8 minutes, everyone say a quick prayer to the baseball gods that all goes well.

  • Nomo vs Rob Bell tonight, no reason for the bats to stop hitting.
