Get it moving

  • Ok, I'm back but only for a quick update today. As some may know I'm still in the middle of my move and as I said before it was likely that updates would be late sometimes. This time is no exception.

I saw very little of the games over the weekend, all I really know is that we lost on Friday and won on Saturday. I did however, see a good portion of yesterday and man did Arrojo pick a great time to be on top of his game.

Rolando Arrojo (7IP 1H 0R 0ER 2BB 3K W): The obvious star of yesterday's game and couldn't have pitched much better if it was Pedro himself out there in his normal spot. What I thought was even more amazing about the start was that he gave up the one hit and only had three strikeouts. Usually when you uttering the words no-hitter, there are a bunch of Ks to go with it.

Brian Daubach (2-4 R 3RBI HR): On the opposite side of the coin it was Dauber who led the way with the stick. With Manny still scuffling a bit (or maybe we were just really spoiled the first two months) we're going to need more great pitching and some new faces to jump into the spotlight.

I really want to talk about more, especially the way Scott Hatteberg has picked it up at the plate. Looks like he's another who just needed to sting a few at bats in a row to get it going. But I really have to get back to the boxes. Ugh! There's so much, where did I get all this crap?

Anyway, today's game is at 12:00pm. It's Canada Day up north so that's the reason for the early start. Hideo Nomo needs to lead the way and get us number three in this series. No need to tell anyone that the lead on first has been cut to a 1/2 game and the Evil Empire's easy schedule continues until the ASB, while we move on to Cleveland tomorrow.
