Another slips away

  • Is it me or does anyone else find it odd that our closer has 12 decisions? Whether odd or not, Lowe has been stinking up the joint big time of late, and now that makes two that he has given away to the Jays. A home run to Alex Gonzalez? C'mon!

It wasn't just his fault there were a few other key elements as well, like Rod Beck being brought into the game at all. What the heck is Jimy doing? The guy needs a freaking rest, he's now given up homers in his last three appearances, and yet they keep running him out there. UGH!

Lets also not forget the pathetic showing the offense put up after the first inning. Four hits for the game and three of them in the first, not one hit until the tenth inning.

Arrojo and the starters keep getting it done, but the pen is has been awful, and the scary thing is that we have 12 on the staff. What the heck are we going to do once we are forced to cut back to 11 pitchers? We're really starting to feel the effects of Pedro being on the shelf and it needs to be remedied immediately.

I'm too ticked to go any further, this makes two games in two weeks that we have had in the bag and then let it get away some how. To make matters worse we're also now down 2 1/2 games, at the very worst we should be out 1/2 game right now, but that's not the case.

Nomo tonight and until we gain another game back, to me anyway, everything seems like a must win.
