Bleed me dry

  • This is getting to be an epidemic and i'm not liking it at all. I'm refering of course to Frank Castillo's early departure with pain in his side.

After Brice Florie took Pedro's spot, Sunny Kim took Guapo's, and Everett finally placed on the 15-Day DL with Bill Pulsipher gettng the call (12 pitchers) today, now we have yet another possible candidate for Injured Incorperated. Who will get the call if need be? I have no idea, but the team has gone into full blown scuffle mode.

Brice Florie (2.1IP 2H 1R 1ER 0BB 1K): For what the guy had to go thru to get back on the mound in Fenway Park it really didn't matter how well or poorly he performed. I was at the infamous game where Florie went down, it was ugly.

Bill Pulsipher (2IP 1H 0R 0ER 2BB 3K): Good to see a lefty actually get some batters out for a change. The three walks wasn't so good, but they fortunately weren't a factor.

Not really sure what else to mention, we just flat out didn't win this one, the injuries are really starting to catch-up with us, and we're now entering a tough stretch that doesn't end until the ASB.

If we can pull off .500 ball (as i've mentioned before) for the final 10 of the first half I'll be more than happy. Starting tomorrow we're back in Toronto for another four game set. I'd love to pull a repeat of the last itme we were out there but I think that's asking for a bit much, I'll take two and be happy.

We're now 2-5 in our last seven games, we need a stop and now. Tim Wakefield will attempt to do just that as he will open the series against the Jays tonight. If we can grab this first one we can relax a little knowing that we only need one of the next three to meet quota. Kind of a weird way to explain it, but you get my meaning.

This is a short update, I know, but I'm in full blown move mode and don't have a ton of time. Would be nice to watch a win as the first game in my new home.
