  • There's only one thing worse than a Sox loss, and that's staying up into the wee hours of the morning to watch it. Obvioulsy a game is more fun to watch when you team is winning/wins, but last night the game was flat out boring. Maybe it was because Carl and Manny combined to go 0-8. Maybe it was becasue Mike Lansing got our only RBI. Maybe it was because it was in Seattle. Who knows?

Regardless we lost and right now i'm wishing I went to bed at a reasonable time last night (this coming from a guy who saw all 19 innings in Seattle last year). Nomo was OK, it was the walks that got him into trouble. That and a 2-out double to the light hitting Carlos Guillen in the fifth that did him and the Sox in.

The offense banged out seven hits, but did virtually nothing with it. Not really sure what else to say, it really was a dull game.

I was surprised to see Troy O'Leary back starting in left though. He did have two singles last night, but i'll need to see some consistancy (when it counts) before my confidence rises with him.

Most likely Troy, Trot, and Daubs will be back on the bench tonight and Bichette, DLew, and Offerman back in with lefty Jamie Moyer going for the Ms. The Sox will counter with Frank Castillo and will be looking good if they can leave Seattle taking two of three.
