It's over! We're all done!

  • I assume that's what the panic on the street is today after the beating Pedro received yesterday. Maybe I refuse to admit something is seriously wrong, but all I saw out there yesterday was a pitcher who needed 2-3 more spring starts to get his pitches under control. It still looked like the ole Pedro to me out there, the only difference was that he couldn't locate his change-up, and it's the change-up that sets-up his fastball. Also, what's this "Pedro Rocked!" business I'm hearing? Did anyone watch the game? Of the 9 hits he gave up, maybe 2 of them were hit solidly, and at least 4 of them were little bloops/bleeders (looks line a liner in the boxscore I guess).

I'm simply not worried, and anyone out there who's taken their number for the Tobin Bridge should be ashamed of themselves. It's game one, chill out!

As for the offense, if we're going to hit like that all year, healthy Pedro or no healthy Pedro, we're going to win allot of games. Welcome back Tek and welcome to Boston Tony Clark. Also remember, if not for a great play by Jose Cruz in the 8th (or was it the 7th), and a blown call by the ump in the 4th we'd have won that game.

Even though he got one hit, it was frustrating to see Rey Sanchez come up with the bases juiced three times (though he was the one robbed by Cruz).

The only guy I was ticked at yesterday was Urbina, what the heck was with the fist pump when he ended the inning after he had just let up the go ahead run in the 9th? If this guy is going to be an issue, I'd rather go by committee with El Guapo and Co, and show Ugi the door.

  • No game today, boooooooooooooo, Hermanson goes tomorrow.
