DAMN IT!

  • OK, we all knew we wouldn't go undefeated against the Orioles. We also knew both the road winning streak (8) and the concurrent over all winning streak (6) would come to an end eventually. We even knew that there was no way Frank Castillo was going to be great every time out there, even if it was against one of the worst hitting teams in the league. That said, I simply couldn't help but get completely overboard pissed-off after the game was over.

I know were not going to win them all, but (counting last night) these next 13 games are HUGE. For the next two weeks we play Baltimore and Tampa Bay, while the Evil Empire dukes it out with Oakland and Seattle. The tides will be reversed in two weeks, and we'll have to go thru the same thing, but this is the time to gain some ground. Oh, the Empire won last night 2-1 by the way.

Twelve games left on this stretch, and I was looking for a 9-4 mark at worst. We've used one of the four so far, lets not double it tonight.

  • Anyone out there thinking maybe Daubach should spell Clark for more than just a game or two for a little while? He's not getting it done, and as long as he's slumping and batting behind Manny, Manny isn't going to get anything to hit. He fizzled again in a crutial situation with two outs last night.

Oliver goes next, great performance against the Y-----s or not last time out, we're going to need some runs tonight. Oliver is due for a beating, and it would just be typical for it to be agaisnt a lousy team.
