Nice to see you again Pedro

  • OK everyone together now... AHHHHHHHHHHHH! There, didn't that feel better? Judging from yesterday's game, it looks like Pedro is back, I have no idea who that other guy was last week, but he was obviously an impostor. I think Pedro said it best after the game, everyone just needs to chill now. Granted it'll probably take 2-3 more starts like that to put us completely at ease, but you have to start somewhere.

    Anyone notice the difference in Shea Hillenbrand so far this year? He's definetly been a much more patient hitter and if he continues with his plate discipline I think we'll see a couple more of those 2-jack games that we enjoyed yesterday. But as we'll keep saying for the next month or so, it's still early and no conclusions can be drawn yet (so far so good).

  • Also not to go unnoticed (since I didn't update) was Frank Castillo's start on Saturday. I was at a family function so I didn't get to see the game, but when you only surrender 1 hit over six innings, I don't need to see it to know he pitched well. Consistancy is the key though, so keep it up Franky.

    UGH! Another off-day today before Kansas City in Fenway tomorrow. Tim Wakefield will take Dustin Hermansons spot in the rotation. I'm not sure if Hermanson has been officially placed on the DL yet, or if he just needs a few more days.
