Fun to watch

  • Fifteen more hits yesterday. If this team is able to stay reasonably healthy theres going to be a whole lot of runs scored this summer. Fifteen more hits, including four more homers. If I'm not mistaken, I believe the Sox lead the AL (maybe the majors) in homers with 13.

Welcome back to the line-up Brian Daubach, three hits (including a homer) and three RBIs in his first start of the season. Not to beat a dead horse, but this is another knock against the deaprted Joe Kerrigan, who ordered Daubach to completely change his hitting style (in the spring) and he proceded to have an absolute horrid camp at the plate. Joe K goes, Daubach adopots his old style again, and viola!

I thought Wakefield look great on the mound, if it weren't for one REALLY bad pitch, we'd have had a shut-out. Not that I have any idea who to bump when Burkett and Hermanson come back, but I think Wakes needs to be in the rotation.

Tony Clark, what a defensive clinic he put on at the bag last night. His 6-8 frame contributed to preventing a couple of potential erros from poor throws and the completion of some great plays around the infield. I'm starting to get excited about this Red Sox defense.

Lowe is back on the hill tonight, and there's no reason not get get #5.
