Whoopee frickin doo

  • What? You didn't actually think they were going to lose every game for the rest of the season? Yeah, I guess they did have us going for a while. So what did it accomplish? Nothing. Like me I bet it's going to take 3-4 wins in a row to even coax a smile out of you. I'm not getting caught up in it again, I'm not getting my hopes up (it was only 1 win). For me, it's going to take a 7 game streak for me to get myself into a good mood when the Sox are mentioned. And since there's no way that's going to happen, I think I'll just stay in my world of non-expectations.

Didn't see any of the game, so I can't tell you what I saw that was good or bad. I was so fed-up after Tuesday's game that I swore off the team for Wednesday. Instead of bitching and moaning at the TV for the night I played stickball with three of my nephews. It may have been a win, but I guarantee I had more fun doing that than watching the game.

  • All I have to go by is the box score. What I see is that we banged out 12 hits and still only managed 5 runs. My guess is that there were several opportunities to score early in the game that were wasted as usual. But it was a win, so I guess that is something. They couldn't do it yet again for Fossum, but at least they won a game in which he started. A step in the right direction if nothing else.

Dare I say we have as good a chance at 2 in a row as we'll get? With Pedro on the mound tonight you'd think we'd be a lock for another win, but look no further than Pedro's last start and how much offense he got. That's right, he got nothing, so I expect nothing.

I can't even be happy when we win, I hate this team.
