  • I asked for one, and we got one, but now of course I'm going to be greedy and ask that we get one more of these next two.

    That win was a big one, first and foremost it gives our modest four game winning streak a little credability now that we can add a 500+ team to it. What the win also does is guarantees that we won't leave NY any more than one more game out than where we started going in. Not that I want to think about the negative, but we all know the Y-----s are tough enough, let alone being in the bronx.

  • Good to see a couple of huge hits out of Shea, he seems to be heating it back up a bit. Varitek may be getting it together as well, going into last night Tek had one career hit against Mussina and doubled that number in one game, including that huge 9th inning triple. Also Johnny Damon showed how valuable a bit of speed can be with his steal of 2nd and then turing Nomar's pop-out into a sac-fly.

    Oh, guess I should say something about Pedro. If there were any cobwebs after the break, he definetly got rid of them in Toronto. Vintage Petey.

    Arrojo goes today vs. El Puke. Puke is another guy you need to get to early, if you allow him to settle in it'll be a long afternoon.
