Plenty of opportunity to blow that one open in game one, but the offense continued to struggle. Hopefully games 2's six runs was a sign of things getting kick started. Was Wakefield not awesome? Six innings of absolute stymation of the Jays. Counting Wakes when he goes back to the pen, do we actually have three guys we can go to now? Embree has looked pretty damn good thus far, and he had to go thru the better part of the Jays remaining line-up to get both saves. Pleasant surprise out of Kim, had it not been for Guapo's inability to hold inherited runners from scoring, it would have been an even better performance. Guapo, Guapo, Guapo... UGH! Burkett tonight, no reason to stop the train. |
