As is always the case with us fans, hind sight is 20-20, so I'm going to have to 2nd guess one of the moves Grady made last night. Not that I had any more confidence that Tony Clark would do something productive two times in the same game, but why in the 8th would you pinch hit for a guy who already has a double in the game, with a guy who had whiffed 9 of his last 10 at bats? I sort of wish Daubach had made it 10 of 11, instead of the inning killing DP with the bases juiced. Nixon doesn't get off the hook either for popping up with nobody out before Dauber ended the threat, but the later was a bit more back breaking. Some damn good defense played last night to prevent the Tribe from blowing it open, but ya gotta score to make it mean anything. Hopefully Pedro can douse the fire tonight. |
