Back in first?

  • Does it seem right that we're back in 1st place after the way the team played the last two weeks? With last night's come from behind win coupled with a second win in a row from the Os over the Empire, that's exactly where we stand.

Pedro may not be pitching at the top of his game each time out there, but at least we're scoring runs for him. Two seasons ago, had Pedro given up a 2-run homer, that would be it, Sox lose 2-0. This is definetly the 2nd, possibly the 3rd time that Pedro hasn't been all that sharp and still won.

Can't really say we're back on the wagon after last night, but a come from behinder is a great place to start. We really need to roll off 3 or 4 wins in a row to get things going again.

  • I mentioned a couple of days ago that the schedule eases up (comparitivley) for the rest of the month and right thru July. It still does, but take the Os off that list of easy opponents and even though they're below .500, they're playing like a much better team. They've had decent pitching all season, it's the bats that do them in more times than not.

Burkett tonight, I'll be there, and I won't stand for a 4th loss in a row from him. Though lack of run support hasn't helped his cause.
