Offense? Offense? OFFENSE!

  • Not good! First three game losing streak of the season, and of course the Giants rolled over and played dead for the Empire. The leads stands at 1.5 going into tonight. We get Colorado for 3 (who have a horrible road record) as the D-Backs head to New York. I believe Randy Johnson starts off that series tonight, hopefully he won't have some sort of pitching amnesia today.

As for the Sox, we need Manny back. We held out as long as possible, but this weekend I think we started to see the effect of him being out long term. The O seems to be falling off a bit of late and is in need of a kick-start.

  • There is some good news though. Manny returned to the dugout for the Zona series and also got an encouraging progress report when examined by team doctors. An optimistic out-look has Manny possibly back next week.

  • Lowe, our new stopper, goes tonight. A big stop it is indeed.
