3/6/02 After the game Pedro said he felt good, that he wasn't experiencing any discomfort. He also said during the year last season, even after he had pitched well, there was pain, or something not completely right. But for now, he's got no pain, and is looking sharp. The biggest test, as I mentioned yesterday, will be how he feels at workouts today, keep em crossed. I think it more likely that if Kerrigan does return, it will be after the season starts. Now of course the rumors will run rampant as to who will be the new manager. The early names on the list include Philipe Alou, Buck Showalter, Jim Fregosi, and Grady Little. At this point I really have no opinion on who I think should get the job, and if the vacancy is filled quickly, I'll have to take a 'wait and see' approach. Let the rumors fly... |
