Didn't like that one

  • Not that any loss is enjoyable, but the fact that we got just about nothing going offensively doesn't sit well with me. That's exactly the kind of game that puts a team into a funk, so tonight's game is very important (IMHO) to ge back on track.

  • I must say though, who would have thought it would have taken until May 16th for the Sox to record loss number 10? The last team in baseball to hit double digit losses.

As good as things have been going we really can't complain much about anything Grady Little has decided to do. But I have a small beef with last night's line-up, I think Grady was guilty of over managing. My only answer for why the heck Baerga was batting int he 4 slot, is that he played a hunch.

I really don't care how well Baerga is doing, nor do I care if his career numbers against Zito are good or not, there's was no reason to have Carlos batting number 4. That fact that nobody did much of anything makes it kind of a moot point, but Grady, don't ever do that again.

  • Is it me or has Nomar been having kind of a weird season so far? He's been doing great but he seems rather streaky lately. He goes a series where he rips the cover off the ball with 2 and 3 hit games, and then goes 0 for his next 8, strange. Regardless if the rest of the team picks it up for Manny or not, Nomar needs to hit if we're going to win.

Another not so great outing from Castillo, he seems to be the ugly duckling of the staff right now.

Seattle comes into town tonight with Oliver going up against John Halama to start things off. I'm really not going to be happy if we let Halama beat us twice in a row. He's not that good, except for when he's pitching against Boston it seems.
