Bigger hits

  • Too many long nights caused me to fall asleep in the 7th for this one, but it looks like the only fire works I missed was the Grand Slam that Damon robbed from Terrance Long in the ninth. Had that gone out the score would have been 12-10 and some seat sqirming would have started, so I guess it best that I couldn't hold out.

I didn't think Burkett was quite as sharp as he has been his past couple of starts, but then again he didn't have to be with all those runs being score for him. Nonetheless I'll take 3 runs over 6 innings from him every start if he can muster it.

Even though in the grand scheeme it was small, it was good to see Tony Clark contribute to the cause, and it was before things got out of hand, so it wasn't like it was one of those useless RBIs.

    Have yourself a game Tek!

Nomar seems to be back where he was before the Tampa series, and as much as we don't need anyone bitching in the clubhouse, Rickey Henderson backed up his "I want to play" speach by reaching base four times in seven plate appearances.

Great pitching match-up this afternoon, Lowe vs Tim Hudson. Hudson is coming off one of the worst starts of his career (if not the worst), lets continue the trend.
